Three schools across Winchester have been taking part in the Orcinus Young Chef 2015 Competition. Pupils from Year 9 and 10 at Kings School, Perins School and Henry Beaufort School have been battling it out in the Orcinus Young Chef 2015 competition.

With 10 entrants making it to the first cook off stage, we saw a blend of savoury and sweet, surprising and the wonderful – nonetheless, we were impressed by each and every one of the entrants! We saw Hunters Chicken, Brownie Cookies and even tempering Chocolate!

Before we knew it, the Mystery Box round was upon us. Met with nerves by our contestants, they quickly took the challenge of creating Fish Cakes with Creamed Leeks and a garnish in to their stride!

Following this, three individuals have been selected to progress to the Final on Thursday, 4th June 2015 where they will produce their chosen dish in a bid to be crowned Orcinus Young Chef of the Year 2015!

Emily Evans (Kings School), Emma Johnstone and Claudia Herbert (Henry Beaufort School) are set to go head to head in the "Show Stopper" Final Round, with a secret guest judge. It's hotting up in the kitchen.. Who has what it takes to be Orcinus Young Chef 2015?

Well done to everyone who has taken part so far, the standard of cooking and talent has been fantastic and we're really looking forward to the final round.

We've had some greate feedback from Henry Beaufort School with a review on their website. Check it out here: www.beaufort.hants.sch.uk
